This piece is inspired by a painting that used to hang in my childhood home of a Conquistador - a Spanish Soldier. I used to think the painting was my Dad growing up and I wanted to repaint it in honor of my Dad who is a Vietnam Veteran. This painting also goes with my poem 'Purple Heart' and there are two hidden purple hearts within the painting.
